The basics

10 questions
What is Dip, in one sentence?

Health-focussed, sustainable cleaning and fabric care that smells incredible and actually works. Backed by science, driven by trust.

Are Dip products vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes, all of them. Nothing we make is tested on animals, not by us and not by our manufacturing partners, and no product contains animal-derived ingredients.

Are Dip products safe to have at home?

Used as directed, yes. Compliant is not the same as healthy, so we go past the legal minimum: every formulation is checked, ingredient by ingredient, against health databases for potential effects on skin, hormones, lungs and gut, then reviewed by external specialists.

That said, they’re still cleaning products: keep them out of reach of children, and if one is swallowed or gets in eyes, rinse well and seek medical advice.

What’s actually in your products?

Everything, and we mean everything, is published in full on each product page. Most brands can legally hide dozens of chemicals behind the single word “fragrance”; we list every fragrance ingredient by name instead. If you can’t pronounce something, you can still look it up. That’s the point.

Are your fragrances safe?

Fragrance is the question we care about most. Instead of hiding behind the word “fragrance”, we check every ingredient that goes into ours and don’t use any that are known endocrine disruptors, the chemicals that can interfere with hormones. Then we publish the full fragrance list by name, so you can see exactly what’s in them. Prefer no added scent at all? Our Fragrance Free sheets are made without any. And if you have a specific sensitivity, the full ingredient list on each product page lets you check before you buy.

Why do you list every fragrance ingredient when others don’t?

Because the word “fragrance” on a label can legally stand for dozens of undisclosed chemicals, and we don’t think you should have to take that on trust. We name every fragrance ingredient instead, so you can look up anything you like. It’s more work for us, and it’s rather the whole point of Dip: you can’t make a genuinely healthy choice about something you can’t see.

Why sheets instead of bottles and jugs?

A sheet is a pre-measured dose with the water taken out. No heavy plastic jugs to lug home or landfill, no measuring, no drips, just a slim, recyclable cardboard box that posts flat and lives happily in a drawer.

Where are Dip products made?

In a renewable-energy facility in Guangzhou, running on hydroelectric and solar power, by manufacturing partners we’re proud of and audit to the highest quality standards. We’d love to produce in the UK one day and we’re working towards it, but we’d rather tell you exactly where and how our products are made than be vague about it. Transparency is rather our thing.

How does delivery work?

2–4 days from dispatch, UK tracked, free over £30, carbon neutral via Shopify Planet. Small packs post through the letterbox; bundles need a doorstep.

What if I’m not happy?

Every plan carries a 90-day money-back guarantee. If Dip isn’t working for you, get in touch and we’ll sort it. Refund included, no interrogation.

Laundry detergent sheets

12 questions
How many sheets do I use per wash?

One sheet for a regular load. Tear it in half for small or lightly soiled loads, and use two for large or heavily soiled ones. Each pack is measured in washes, so what’s on the box is what you get.

Do they really work in cold washes?

Yes. The sheets dissolve fully at 20°C and above and are formulated to clean in cold water. Cold washes are kinder to fabrics, colours and your energy bill, so we’d encourage them.

Will they work in my machine?

Any machine, including high-efficiency ones. Sheets are low-suds by design, unlike many liquids and powders, which is exactly what H.E. machines want.

Which type should I choose?

Fresh Linen if you love a classic clean-laundry scent (every fragrance ingredient disclosed in full). Fragrance Free if you’d rather no added scent at all. Extra Sensitive for skin that needs the gentlest possible wash.

Are they kind to sensitive skin?

They’re formulated to be skin-kind, and because every ingredient is published, fragrance included, you can check the full list against your own sensitivities before you buy. For extra-careful skin, go Fragrance Free or Extra Sensitive, and patch-test a single garment before switching your whole wash.

Do I still need fabric conditioner?

That’s personal preference. The sheets wash soft on their own. If you like extra softness and a scent you choose, our Fabric Conditioner Sheets are made to pair with them.

Will they affect towels, gym gear or delicates?

No. Each sheet carries only a small amount of softener, so towels keep their absorbency and sportswear keeps its wicking. They’re colour-safe and gentle on delicates; test anything precious on its own first if you’re unsure.

Can I use colour catchers with them?

Absolutely. Colour catcher sheets work exactly as normal alongside ours.

Are they safe for septic tanks?

Yes. Our sheets are OECD 301B certified biodegradable and phosphate-free, so they suit septic systems.

What do the enzymes do?

Protease, amylase and cellulase, a small team of proteins that break down food, grease and everyday stains, and keep working even in cold water. Enzymes are one of the reasons a slim sheet can outwork a heavy jug of liquid.

What’s in the sheets, exactly?

The complete ingredient list, for every formulation and fragrance, is published under Ingredients on the product page. Nothing hides behind “parfum”.

Is the packaging plastic-free?

The box is slim, recyclable cardboard, and the smaller packs post through a letterbox. No bottles, no plastic jugs.

Dishwasher sheets

10 questions
How do I use them?

Tear a sheet in half and pop one half in the detergent slot. That does a normal load. Use a whole sheet for a very full or very dirty one.

Detergent drawer or cutlery basket?

The detergent drawer, folded to fit. It holds the sheet back until after the pre-rinse, which is when you want it released; anything loose in the machine dissolves early and drains away with the pre-rinse water. If your machine has no drawer, the bottom of the machine works on cycles without a pre-rinse.

Do they clean as well as tablets?

They clean as well as standard and eco tablets, without the harsher ingredients some premium tablets lean on. If you’re used to the strongest tablet on the shelf, the very toughest baked-on loads might want a hotter cycle, an honest trade we think is worth it.

Will they shift tea and coffee stains?

Honest answer: stubborn tannin rings, tea especially, are the one place bleach-based premium tabs still have the edge, because we don’t use chlorine bleach. A hotter, longer cycle shifts most marks, and a 20-minute soak in hot water followed by a rub with a bicarb paste resets a stained mug. Everything else, from grease to baked-on food, Dip handles cycle after cycle.

I live in a soft-water area. Do I need less?

Probably, yes. Soft water needs roughly half the detergent of hard water, and overdosing there can leave foam and a filmy residue. Tear the sheet smaller, try half, and see what your machine likes. That is the quiet advantage of a sheet: it tears to any dose, where a pod is all or nothing.

Can I use them for washing up by hand?

Yes. Tear off what you need, dissolve it in a sink of warm water, and wash as usual. One product, both jobs.

Are they gentler than tablets?

That’s the aim: we choose milder, plant-derived cleaning agents wherever they’ll do the job, and publish the full ingredient list so you can see exactly what we mean.

What’s in them?

The complete list is on the product page, with every ingredient, including each fragrance component, named in full.

I live in a hard-water area. Will they cope?

Hard water is the toughest test for any dishwasher detergent without chlorine bleach, and that includes ours. Use a whole sheet instead of a half, and give baked-on loads a hotter, longer cycle. Tea and coffee marks are harder again in hard water, so the soak above matters more, not less. If it still does not work in your water, the 90-day guarantee applies.

Do I still need a rinse aid?

Our sheets are formulated to do the whole detergent job, so a rinse aid is your choice, not a requirement. If you do use one, look for a rinse aid without alcohol ethoxylates: we leave that class out of our own formula, so we would not point you towards adding it back at the final rinse.

Multi-surface cleaning sheets

5 questions
How do they work?

Drop one sheet into your Dip bottle filled with water, give it a moment to dissolve, and you’ve made a fresh bottle of multi-surface spray. No shipping water around the country, no single-use plastic bottle.

Which surfaces can I use them on?

Kitchen worktops, tables, tiles, sinks, painted surfaces and sealed wood: the everyday surfaces around the home.

How long does one bottle of spray last?

That depends on your household’s mess output, but each refill sheet makes a full bottle, and packs come in 1, 2, 3 or 6-pack refills so you only reorder the sheets, never the bottle.

Do I have to use the Dip bottle?

No. Any spray bottle works. Ours is refillable glass, sized for one sheet, and nicer to leave out on the counter.

What’s in them?

The complete ingredient list, fragrance included, is published on the product page, as with everything we make.

Fabric conditioner sheets

6 questions
How do I use them?

Tear the sheet in half for a regular everyday load, in the drum or the drawer alongside your Dip laundry sheet. Use a whole sheet for a larger or dirtier load, and tear smaller for small ones: that is where a pack stretches furthest.

Do they leave clothes smelling lovely?

Yes. And unlike almost every conditioner on the shelf, every fragrance ingredient in ours is disclosed in full, so you can see exactly what you are smelling.

Is it true most fabric conditioners contain animal fat?

Many conventional ones use animal-derived softening agents, yes. Ours don’t. Dip conditioner sheets are vegan and cruelty-free, like everything we make.

Are they suitable for sensitive skin?

They’re formulated to be gentle, and the full ingredient list is published so you can check it against your own sensitivities. If you have very reactive skin or a skin condition, we’d honestly suggest skipping fabric conditioner altogether, from us or anyone else, or asking your GP first.

Should I use them on towels or sportswear?

Skip the conditioner on those, as any softener gradually reduces towel absorbency and sportswear wicking. (Our laundry sheets alone are all they need.)

What’s in them?

Every ingredient, including the full fragrance breakdown, is on the product page.

The reusable bottle

5 questions
What is the Dip bottle?

A refillable glass spray bottle, designed for our multi-surface cleaning sheets: fill with water, drop in a sheet, spray. Buy it once, or get it free in the welcome kit with your first laundry subscription, and refill it forever.

How do I use it?

Fill it with tap water, add one multi-surface sheet, let it dissolve, and it’s ready. When it’s empty, repeat. The bottle is the one part of the routine you never throw away.

How do I clean and care for it?

A rinse with warm water between refills is plenty. The bottle is glass, so it doesn’t stain or hold onto scent the way plastic does.

Why glass?

It’s endlessly reusable, doesn’t degrade or leach like plastic, and looks like something you’d happily leave out on the worktop. The bottle is meant to be the last spray bottle you buy.

Can I buy it on its own?

Yes. It’s available separately, though subscribers get it free in the welcome kit, so start there if you’re new.

The microfibre cloth

4 questions
What’s it for?

Pretty much everything: worktops, glass, taps, stainless steel. Paired with the multi-surface spray, or even just water, it lifts grease and grime and polishes streak-free.

How do I wash it?

A standard wash with your normal load, then let it air dry. One important tip: skip the fabric conditioner, because softener coats microfibre and blunts its grip.

How long does it last?

Six months or more, if you look after it: a standard wash, no fabric conditioner, air dried. When it eventually stops gripping like it used to, that’s its retirement notice.

Do I need special cleaning products with it?

No, that’s the charm of it. Microfibre does much of the work mechanically, so a Dip spray and a good cloth cover most of the kitchen.

Subscriptions & your account

10 questions
How do I manage my subscription?

Log in to your account on wearedip.co.uk and open Manage subscription. Everything below happens there, in a couple of clicks. No phone calls, no “retention specialists”.

Can I change scent, size or delivery frequency?

Anytime. Changes apply from your next delivery.

Can I skip a delivery or pause?

Yes, as often as you like. Going away, or the drawer’s still full? Skip or pause, and pick back up when you’re ready.

How do I cancel?

Two clicks in your account. No fees, no minimum term, no guilt trip. Anything you’ve already received, including the welcome kit, is yours to keep.

What’s the welcome kit?

Our thank-you for subscribing: the refillable glass spray bottle, a microfibre cloth, and your first pack of multi-surface cleaning sheets, free with your first laundry subscription of 60 washes or more. One per customer, while the offer’s available.

Does the multi-surface refill from the welcome kit renew?

Yes. Your first pack is free, then it renews at full price alongside your laundry delivery (every 2 months by default). It’s a normal subscription line in your account, so you can change or cancel it on its own at any time.

How does billing work?

You’re billed at the start of each delivery cycle, at the price you signed up with. Subscriber prices are locked, so if prices rise, yours doesn’t.

Can I buy once instead of subscribing?

Yes. Every size has a one-time price on the product page. You’ll skip the subscriber discount and the welcome kit, but there’s no wrong way to try Dip.

What if it’s not for me?

Every plan carries a 90-day money-back guarantee. Tell us what didn’t work, we genuinely want to know, and we’ll refund you.

Will it be hard to get out of?

No. Skip, pause or cancel online, from your account, in a couple of clicks. No phone call, no minimum term, no fee, and anything already delivered is yours to keep.
