Cleans just as well if not better than 'Finish' or 'Fairy' but most importantly to me, it doesn't make everything taste of cleaner. I can actually taste my food and drinks now.Nicola Gaze8 Jun 2025 Verified on Trustpilot

The switch is the easy part
How Dip works
Everything your old tablets did, without the plastic wrapper, the chemical smell or the mystery formula.
-
Load the dishwasher
Scrape the big bits into the bin. No pre-rinsing needed.
-
Tear off a sheet
One torn sheet per wash. Fold it into the detergent drawer and close it as normal.
-
Run your usual cycle
Any machine, any cycle. Use a full sheet for heavily soiled loads.
One product, most of the kitchen
You can do more with Dip
The same sheet that runs your dishwasher covers the jobs around it.
-
Pre-soak baking trays
Dissolve a sheet in boiling water and leave the tray to soak while you eat.
-
Make washing-up liquid
Dissolve a sheet in a bowl or bottle, then wash by hand with a sponge.
-
Air-fryer care
Dissolve a piece in the basket with hot water and run for 5–10 minutes.
-
Oven & hob cleaner
Dissolve a sheet in hot water and work it in with a sponge.
Spot-test delicate surfaces first. Each tip uses a normal torn sheet dissolved in hot water.

For anyone saying that tea stains don't come off mugs with these, no they don't, BUT they didn't come off with any other Eco tablet that I ever used in the past either. For that, you just need a toothbrush, dishwashing soap, and a bit of elbow grease.AA22 Sep 2025 Verified on Trustpilot
The dishwasher sheets do get things clean apart from our mugs, they always come out very stained, this has only happened since using Dip sheets... Small price to pay I guess if it means we are not ingesting chemicals.Julie Hume6 Dec 2025 Verified on Trustpilot

Certified biodegradable
The sheet and its cleaning agents are OECD 301B certified biodegradable.
What this means
OECD 301B is the internationally recognised standard for how quickly a substance breaks down in water treatment. Certification means the wash that leaves your machine breaks down quickly, rather than persisting in waterways.
Checked against ECHA’s lists
Before any ingredient goes in, we check it against the European Chemicals Agency’s lists of endocrine disruptors, CMR substances and Substances of Very High Concern.
What this means
ECHA is the EU body that classifies chemicals. CMR stands for carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic to reproduction. Our checking process excludes ingredients on these lists, and we re-check whenever the lists are updated. This is our own checking process against ECHA’s published lists, not an ECHA endorsement.
FSC-certified packaging
The box is FSC-certified card from responsibly managed forests, fully recyclable, with no plastic anywhere.
What this means
The Forest Stewardship Council certifies that the card we use is traceable to responsibly managed forests. The box and tape go straight in your recycling. The sheets never become waste at all: they dissolve completely in the wash.
Independent voices
Backed by experts
Specialists in hormones, nutrition and health, giving their honest view. None of them work for us.
They’re super clean and healthy but they actually work well, much lower toxins than the retail dish tabs.
Not only are they better for our health but they are super effective on messy dishes.
Invest in good quality food, stay hydrated and lower that toxic burden by eliminating dishwasher tablets.
The Cut List
5 ingredients you will never find in Dip
No scare stories. Each one is here for a documented reason, and every card tells you what it is, where it usually turns up, and what we use instead.
Chlorine bleachthe harsh route to white cupsRespiratory irritant
Usually found inMost premium dishwasher tablets and powders
Why we cut itChlorine-based bleach is a respiratory and skin irritant, and it’s the main reason tablet packets carry warning symbols. It’s also why they win on tea stains. That’s a trade we won’t make.
In Dip insteadAn enzyme and plant-surfactant clean; run an occasional hotter cycle for tannin marks.
Alcohol ethoxylatesthe workhorse surfactant with baggageSurfactant class
Usually found inMany dishwasher products and most conventional rinse aids
Why we cut itA surfactant class linked in research to gut-barrier disruption. Residues on “clean” dishes go straight onto food.
In Dip insteadPlant-derived cleansers that rinse away and break down readily.
Phosphates & phosphonatesthe water-softeners rivers paid forWaterway pollutants
Usually found inPhosphates in older formulas, restricted in the EU since 2017; phosphonates in most modern “phosphate-free” tablets
Why we cut itPhosphates feed the algal blooms that suffocate rivers and lakes, which is why the EU capped them. The industry’s replacement, phosphonates, dodges the cap but biodegrades poorly and persists in waterways instead of breaking down.
In Dip insteadTrisodium citrate. It softens the water, protects your glasses from limescale, then breaks down readily.
Artificial dyescolour for colour’s sakeCosmetic additive
Usually found inThe bright gel windows and coloured layers in tablets
Why we cut itDye does nothing for your dishes. It’s there to make the product look like it’s working.
In Dip insteadSheets the colour they come off the press.
1,4-Dioxanea manufacturing leftoverTrace contaminant
Usually found inTrace contamination in some cheaply made surfactants
Why we cut itA by-product of a common manufacturing shortcut, tracked by regulators as a contaminant. It never appears on labels because it isn’t an ingredient, it’s a residue.
In Dip insteadRaw materials specified with the residue stripped out at source.
The honest table
How Dip compares
We give the tabs their row: bleach-based formulas beat us on heavy tannin stains. We think the trade is worth it. They don’t publish their ingredients; we publish everything.

I can taste my food and drink again!

I started using dip as I wanted to move away from using chemicals
Yes I have to rinse my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher and yes my cups get stained. However, if I was hand washing my cups in fairy or another washing up liquid, then I would get stained cups anyway.Lorraine Campbell24 Apr 2025 Verified on Trustpilot

The dishwasher sheets appear to work very well, they dissolve far better in our dishwasher compared to the finish platinum ones... Only thing so far is the DIP sheets aren't as good at removing tea stains.Stewart Jackson21 Jul 2025 Verified on Trustpilot

I bought the dishwasher sheets
Pretty good results but I would say that some of my pans, particularly those using boiled water to cook ingredients, are left with a chalky residue. I live in a hard water area so am assuming that might be causing this.Justin Finn-Ford12 Feb 2026 Verified on Trustpilot
A bit too expensive
The washing and fabric conditioner were good, my husband didn't like the dishwasher sheets. He said they didn't work as well and a few times the cups were left dirty. The kitchen cleaner is really nice.kellyo4 Apr 2026 Verified on Trustpilot
Laundry products great, dishwasher not so much
Have been using the laundry and fabric conditioner sheets and have found them to be very good... Unfortunately the dishwasher sheets are not very good at all. Having tried them several times I find that they do no clean tea or coffee cups at all.
Hi Mark, thank you for sharing your feedback on our dishwasher sheets! I am sorry to hear they didn't work for you. Feel free to send us an email at support@wearedip.co and I'd be happy to share some tips or arrange a refund for you. :)
We've been really disappointed with...
Our cups are consistently coming out with tea stains still on them. Initially, I was excited to switch from eco tablets to sheets as a more sustainable option, but after several unsuccessful washes, even using more than one sheet to try to improve performance, we've decided to go back to our original tablets.
Hi Nina, thank you for your feedback! I am sorry to hear our dishwasher sheets didn't meet your expectations. Feel free to send us an email at support@wearedip.co and I'd be happy to arrange a refund for you. :)
Awful
The cleaning power is awful. Tried all the dishwasher setting, 1 sheet, 2 sheets, in the dispenser out of the dispenser. Always leaves tea stains.
Thanks for the feedback. The film is polyvinyl alcohol, and we name it on every ingredient list. It dissolves in water, and our laundry sheets are OECD 301B certified biodegradable. The packaging is recyclable card.
